Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) Standardizes the Names of the Designated China Compulsory Certification Laboratories
|
| 2009-05-14 |
CNCA recently issues an announcement that it will standardize the names of the designated China Compulsory Certification (CCC) Laboratories.
Along with business development and mechanism reform, the names of CCC laboratories have become diversified which are neither uniform nor standardized. A few of the CCC laboratories even don't use the names which were designated as the CCC laboratory names by CNCA. This will not only bring doubts to applicants, but also not in conformity to the requirements of relevant laws and regulations, and even cause management difficulties in responsibility investigation etc.
The announcement indicates that designated CCC laboratories should adopt the names with legal person qualification in a uniform manner, and the bodies should have laboratory accreditation and accreditation of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
CNCA will standardize and announce the list of designated CCC laboratories according to Confirmation Table of the Names of Designated China Compulsory Certification Laboratories submitted by CCC Laboratories. Starting June 1st, 2009, CCC laboratories that undertake compulsory product certification and tests should issue test reports and collect expenses as per the designated names announced by CNCA rather than other names.
