The 59th EXPOLAB Shanghai Press Conference Held Successfully and Received Positive Responses From the Exhibitors and Visitors

On the morning of March 27, 2009, a press conference for the 59th China Laboratory Technology and Equipment Exhibition (EXPOLAB) was held by Reed Sinopharm at Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center International Hotel. Over 50 guests participated in this conference, including representatives of companies and enterprises, media, experts and scholars from the instrument and reagent fields.
The press conference was started with the speech Review and Forecast on Development of China’s Analytical Instrument Market made by Wang Zhengfan, researcher of China Association for Instrumental Analysis. The speech used abundant, detailed data to summarize market trends and market shares of analytical instruments such as mass spectrometers, molecular spectrometers, life science instruments and surface analytical instruments both home and abroad in recent years and forecasted the future development of analytical instruments.
Mr. Zhang Hongxiang, deputy secretary-general of Chinese Society of Biotechnology summarized current status and future development of Chinese Bio-Industry, and he also briefly introduced the cooperation between Chinese Society of Biotechnology and EXPOLAB.
Mr. Li Xiaolei, project manager of Reed Sinopharm introduced the 59th China Laboratory Technology and Equipment Exhibition (EXPOLAB), which will be held at the first and second floor of Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center from June 17th to June 19th, and there will be 7 professional pavilions including Reagent Pavilion (including high-purity reagent), Laboratory Furniture & Equipment Pavilion and Measurement, Metrology and Optical Instruments Pavilion, etc., with a total exhibition area 10000 square meters occupied by 507 booths, with an increase of 25% than last exhibition. 80% of the booths had been sold out by March 15th, 2009. At the same time, to better promote the conference, the organizer has been mass sending e-magazines to target groups for 20 times, with 20,000 e-mails each time. The organizer also invites visitors by phone and 1000 professional visitors have signed up so far. The total number of visitors is estimated to be over 8000. In parallel with the event, the following activities are also scheduled: Top-Level Forum for Chemical Reagents enterprises, Frontier Technology and Application Seminar of Proteomics, Symposium on Medical Research and Clinical Application of Biochips, the 30th Anniversary of Chemical Reagents, Model Lab Display, etc.
At the press conference, two representatives of exhibitors, Liu Liren, deputy general manager of Kunshan Ultrasonic Instruments Co., Ltd. and Ying Li, deputy general manager of Jiangsu Qiangsheng Chemical Co., Ltd., gave speeches on the current situation of their enterprises and their feelings about participating in EXPOLAB for all these years.
Dr. Zhang Fabao from bioon.com delivered a speech on How to Address the Financial Crisis by the Growth Enterprises.
Finally, Reed Sinopharm prepared exquisite gifts for the attendees and Dr. Zhang Fabao from bioon.com, Yu Wenliang, division chief from Shanghai Institute of Technology and Zhang Hongxiang, deputy secretary-general of Chinese Society of Biotechnology won the first, second and third prizes in the lucky draw.
This press conference helped attendees gain a deeper understanding of the EXPOLAB, and 4 enterprises including Shanghai Jinjia Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd., Shanghai Tengshuo Scientific & Technical Equipment Co., Ltd., Shanghai SENCO Technology Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Hengping Instrument & Meter Factory signed participation agreement on the press conference.
In addition, some of the experts and leaders from Laboratory work research board of Shanghai colleges and universities and Shanghai Preventive Medical Association expressed their wishes at the press conference to organize relevant personnel to visit the 59th EXPOLAB.
