|
| 2009-03-19 |
From 2009, China will revise and raise 2000 pharmaceutical standards each year. This year, efforts would be made to rectify by classification six categories of non-pharmaceutical products such as health care food and products with no reference number. As noted by Wu Zhen, deputy chief of State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) on the National Food and Drug Regulatory Working Conference yesterday, 1000 pharmaceutical standards were revised last year and the pharmaceutical standards will be raised in an all-around way this year so as to enhance the standards of pharmaceuticals in the market. Meanwhile, a pharmaceutical standard selection mechanism will be established to eliminate those varieties unreasonable in prescription, technique and reagent type with severe potential safety hazards.
