Notice of Protein Separation and Purification Technology Workshop

China’s biological industry has now evolved to a modest scale. More and more bioengineering products, mainly genetic engineering drugs, are entering the market. As the key steps in R&D of biotechnology products, protein preparation and purification are always the focal points of biological industry in all aspects, including sample preparation, purification strategies, process optimization, interpretation of relevant product regulations and policies as well as economic analysis of relevant technologies. In order to help professionals in the field of life science research and biotechnology application master those tools of protein separation and purification, and to effectively enhance the ability of solving problems in the practice of protein separation and purification, China Biotechnology Press, Shanghai Society for Biotechnology (SSBT) and Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions have decided to organize Protein Separation and Purification Technology Workshop during the 60th China Laboratory Technology and Equipment Exhibition (EXPOLAB) (June 22-24, 2010) at Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center.
As part of the academic program of the 60th China Laboratory Technology and Equipment Exhibition (EXPOLAB), this workshop will invite premier experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences who specialize in protein preparation and purification technologies to deliver lectures, with the supplement of case study and discussion by audience to improve interaction and educational effects. Besides, according to the development needs of biological industry as well as the requirements of SSBT members, we will add some topics such as economic analysis of protein chromatography technology and analysis of relevant policies, which are exactly the focuses of bioengineering companies.
